    UAE joins Trump meeting on Middle East security in New York

    NEW YORK / RankWire.AI / – UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan joined a meeting called by U.S. President Donald Trump in New York on September 22. The session brought together leaders and senior officials from Arab and Islamic countries during the 81st United Nations General Assembly. Talks covered developments in the Middle East, regional security, economic prosperity and international cooperation. Participants also discussed efforts to reduce tensions and support lasting peace across the region.

    The meeting included Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa also took part. Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah attended alongside Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan joined the discussions as well. Senior representatives from Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan completed the wider regional group assembled for the talks.

    Officials focused on security, stability and development across the Middle East. They also reviewed ways to strengthen international cooperation on regional and global challenges. Sheikh Abdullah said the UAE supports initiatives that promote de-escalation and sustainable peace. He also linked regional stability with economic growth and broader prosperity. The discussions reflected several issues facing governments at the UN gathering, where leaders use formal sessions and separate meetings to address security, development and diplomatic cooperation.

    Regional security leads New York discussions

    Sheikh Abdullah also addressed relations between the UAE and the United States during the meeting. He highlighted cooperation built around shared interests, mutual respect and long-standing ties. The two countries work together across economic, political and development sectors. Sheikh Abdullah also acknowledged Trump’s efforts related to security, peace and development in the Middle East. President Trump convened the session during his New York schedule as leaders gathered for the annual UN General Assembly meetings.

    The talks also covered stronger multilateral cooperation among governments dealing with regional and international challenges. Participants discussed measures supporting peace, development and economic stability in the Middle East. The meeting gave officials another forum for direct exchanges outside the main UN sessions. Such meetings formed part of the broader diplomatic calendar in New York. Governments also held separate bilateral talks on trade, security, investment, development and political issues during the General Assembly period.

    UAE stresses de-escalation and cooperation

    Several senior UAE officials accompanied Sheikh Abdullah during the meeting. Minister of State Lana Zaki Nusseibeh and Minister of State Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri attended the discussions. Yousef Al Otaiba, the UAE ambassador to the United States, also joined the delegation. Their participation formed part of the UAE’s wider diplomatic program in New York. UAE officials held additional meetings during the UN gathering to discuss bilateral relations, economic cooperation, international security and other issues on the assembly agenda.

    The New York session placed Middle East stability and international coordination among its central topics. The UAE repeated its support for de-escalation, durable peace and economic prosperity during the discussions. Participants also addressed cooperation through international institutions and joint responses to regional challenges.
